Dr. John S. McIntyre is a distinguished psychiatrist and nationally recognized leader in mental health and psychiatric medicine. A graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine, he completed his psychiatric training at Strong Memorial Hospital and later remained in Rochester in both private practice and academic roles. Throughout his career, Dr. McIntyre has held numerous leadership positions and served as President of the American Psychiatric Association from 1993–1994. He has played a significant role in advancing psychiatric practice standards, research initiatives, and clinical guidelines while contributing extensively to the field through education, leadership, and community service.
